“Hana Ha Odoreya I-Ro-Ha-Ni-Ho” starts with a pentatonic melody in Fm key.
Now listen to the chorus part at 0:52. The same melody is repeated, but the accompaniment is in Cm key. The opposite pattern as yours; the modulation to the dominant key.The point here is that the melody is pentatonic. The tones are C, E♭, F, G and B♭. This is a well-known C minor pentatonic. So from the start it kinda holds bitonality—C minor pentatonic superimposed on F minor key chords. But it’s not much recognizable because all the C minor pentatonic scale tones are the part of the F minor scale.
The difference between Fm key and Cm key is whether to have flat on D. But the melody does not have it. This enables the bass in the opening to play D♭, realizing “retonalization”.
Pentatonic scales may be able to play an interesting role on implementating this technique.
In FL Studio, you don’t drag; instead, you use the mouse wheel scroll.
While hovering over the note whose velocity you want to change, hold down “Alt” and scroll up or down to adjust the velocity. You can perform a similar action using two-finger scrolling on the Mac trackpad.
What grade of Cubase r u using?
At least Cubase Elements is required to use side-chain function.
Find the small cog icon in the transport bar at the bottom and click it; it shows recording option.
In the left edge, turn on “Replace” and turn off “Takes to Layers”. Now you can loop-record with replacing takes.

Ditto is a rare case where the melody hits Re while the chord plays Re♭, for whatever reason, maybe to keep the melody line natural.

The charm of Bitwig is that you can do anything like that with modulators. If you modulate the Pan parameter of the Tool with an LFO, it will become an auto-pan! 😎
Make it and save it as a preset and you can recall it.
Open the clip and you’ll see “loop” button toggled by default.
This is a screenshot from Live 12 but similar in Live 11 too.
Alternatively, select the preferable range in arrange area and press Ctrl-J. The clip will be expanded and the loop button is automatically turned off.
